Busy Weekend!

Lots of things happening in the past week!  We stayed up until 2:30 in the morning baking and decorating for the weekend. We delivered cupcake sample packs to several Oakville area businesses and chatted with some of our neighbors to be.  We supplied the cupcakes for a 60th birthday party with a daisy theme.

And also made mini cheesecakes, cupcakes and cookie favors for a bridal shower. The cookies matched the invitations and plates that the hostess was using for the shower.  The invites are called "Something Blue" and are available at Party City.  Only sharing the invite info because they are really, really cute!

I think we both took a nap on Saturday afternoon, due to exhaustion!  Tomorrow we will look into a credit card machine, buy more supplies and then, the baking begins for this week - more cookies, cupcakes and full-sized custom cakes on the schedule this week.  Will post pictures next weekend!  Have a great week!

Cake of the Week!

Progress this week - our LLC is complete, as of Sunday afternoon! 

This week we are going back to the space that we looked at last week to take measurements and lots of pictures and will hopefully know soon if this is to be our little bakery's home!

Only one cake to share this weekend - the baker was out of town for a few days!  This was a cookie/cake combination made for a sports themed baby shower thrown by a friend of ours. Thanks Amy! 

We have a very busy weekend ahead, so we will have plenty of pictures to add to our site next Sunday!  Be sure to check back with us frequently!  Our cupcake page will have a few more of our flavors pictured and we will have a few cupcake towers to show off.  Have a great week!

Moving Forward!

Today we looked at another location.  Like, like, and like!!!!  We both agreed that the space was what we were looking for and are excited that most of the really expensive stuff has already been completed and everything appears to meet the county code requirements.  Just needs a good cleaning, some paint, some new floors and some equipment!  We may end up in Dierberg's Plaza, we'll see!

Our LLC is expected to arrive tomorrow, so once we get our hands on that, everything else can begin to move forward.  I see lots of bargaining, borrowing, paper signing and hardwork in our future! Can't wait!

A Bakery in the Making!

Coming soon to Oakville!  Hot drinks, cold drinks and baked goods made fresh daily.  We are filing paperwork, getting together finances, looking at potential spaces, working on recipes, getting together supply lists, looking at costs, designing our store and filling special orders!  Lots to do before the doors actually open!  We are hoping to be open by September!

When the store opens we will have cupcakes, cookies, specialty cakes, cheesecakes, brownies, muffins and more available for purchase each day in individual serving sizes.  Cupcakes will come in three sizes and lots of exciting flavors!  Brownies, cookies, cheesecakes, and muffins will be available in a wide variety of flavors each day.
